About our events

Carer groups

Our groups meet regularly across the County. Our groups give you the opportunity to meet other carers and can include wellbeing activities and guest from other organisations.

"It’s good to know more from others and it’s a friendly group"

“I like this group as I can meet up with other carers and have a natter”

“It’s nice to meet new people who understand me”

Carer Networks

Our Networks are an opportunity to meet other carers with a similar caring role. They include:

  • Hykeham Dementia Carers Group, for those caring for someone with dementia

  • After-Caring groups in Lincoln, Sleaford and Spalding, and our regular marketplace and wellbeing events in the East of the County.

  • Young Adult Carer groups and events, including our online support groups and face-to-face events.

“The staff are brilliant and the After Caring group is helping so many”

Our networks give you space to meet others who understand your caring role and can include learning opportunities, regular events and the chance to connect with our staff.

Wellbeing events

Our event offer is broad and changes on a monthly basis. We work with carers to identify events they are interested in attending and offer events across the County. These include:

Men’s and Ladies events

Our men’s and ladies events can include quiz meet ups, trips to local interest sites and physical activity such as archery or high ropes.

Day Trips

These can include family activities such as Rand Farm meet ups and visits to National Trust venues.

Learning events

We offer training and learning opportunities to support you with your caring role or your wellbeing, which have previously included Paediatric First Aid, Dementia information sessions and Journalling sessions. The training we offer is based on a mix of carer-requested sessions, and our understanding of the types of carers we are supporting.

Other wellbeing events

Our wellbeing events offer a broad mix of activities. We have regular visits to local venues such as museums, stately homes and bowling meet-ups, as well as linking with outdoor sites and sporting venues. National campaigns, such as Active April, Carers Week and Mental Health Awareness Week, are frequently considered when we plan events, and we work with our carers when developing our event offer.
